Saraswati Vidya Mandir outplayed GTB English Medium School by 61 runs, while Chinmaya EM School defeated Pater Noster EM School by five runs in two matches of the Rourkela Open School Cricket Tournament of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in Rourkela on Wednesday.
As many as 26 teams are participating in the tournament, which is being being organised by Rourkela Steel Plant. The winners will be eligible to compete in the State school tournament.
Brief scores: Saraswati VM 177/10 in 20 overs (Martosh Pandey, Mrutanjay Patra, Mithur Ray each 3 wkts) beat GTBEMS 116/10 (Birendra Gupta 4/26, Krishna Sharma, Atul Singh 2 wkts each).Chinmay EMS 122/9 in 20 overs (Saswat 23) beat Pater Noster 117/10 (Raj Sekhar 3/17).
